The Estée Lauder Companies has announced an organizational evolution in which its number of group presidents will be expanded from two to four. Thia Breen and Lynne Greene have both been named group president and will continue to report to the company’s president and CEO, Fabrizio Freda. As group president North America, Breen will oversee both U.S. and Canadian affiliates, while Greene will add Aveda and Darphin to the brands she already manages, including Clinique, Origins and Ojon.

At the same time, Jane Lauder and Peter Lichtenthal will assume additional responsibilities, effective January 1, 2013. Lauder will add Darphin to her title of global president and general manager of Origins and Ojon. Additionally, Bumble and bumble president Lichtenthal will now oversee Smashbox, reporting to John Demsey, who will add Bumble and bumble to his responsibilities as group president, Estée Lauder, MAC, Tom Ford Beauty, Prescriptives, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Jo Malone and Smashbox.
