HBA to Ignite Product Development, Brand Engagement and Digital Success

From June 18 to 20, the annual HBA Global Expo & Conference will bring together the beauty and personal care worlds to conceive and activate new product—and brand—launches.

For the first time, three educational panels developed by FIT’s Master’s in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management program will be part of the show. Expanding on the recently-presented 2013 Capstone research entitled “Beauty in a Digital World,” the sessions will cover digital marketing, analytics and commerce.

Other sessions will focus on color forecasting and design innovations, generational trends, technological advances and new ingredients, formulations and delivery systems.

Additional sessions on the subject of brand development will feature presentations by executives from Duane Reade, Target, Yes to Inc., Elizabeth Arden and Perricone MD.

Experts will also discuss the latest data, trends, technologies and future growth opportunities in the skin care realm.

The naturals movement will be addressed in a panel starring Aveda founder Horst Rechelbacher entitled “How to Become and Stay a Leader in the Consumer-Driven Trend Toward Natural and Sustainable Ingredients.”

Other HBA highlights include: a one-day IoPP (Institute of Packaging Professionals) Packaging Learning Center; the returning SPLASH Pavilion, exhibiting this year’s must-haves; an enhanced New Product Showcase; a Trend Spot Theatre featuring unique perspectives from brand vanguards; and a Spa Services & Products Pavilion.

The HBA IPDA (International Packaging Design Awards) will be presented this year by Jacqueline Laurita, star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey—and a licensed cosmetologist.
