Keynote speakers Ruben and Isabel Toledo kicked off Fashion Group International’s (FGI) 15th annual Rising Star Awards with an upbeat speech, thanking FGI’s Margaret Hayes for leading an organization that “guides and encourages individuals to lead with their imaginations.”
In the Beauty/Fragrance Corporate category, Elle’s beauty director Emily Dougherty presented the award to International Flavors & Fragrances’ (IFF) Celine Barel.
“I am honored and moved to receive this award,” said Barel. “IFF is a fantastic, and funtastic place to work, and I want to thank our customers for putting their trust in us.”
The award for Beauty/Fragrance Entrepreneur, presented by Tarte Cosmetics founder and CEO Maureen Kelly, was given to David and Kavi Moltz of D.S. & Durga, a niche perfume house out of Brooklyn, New York. For a complete list of finalists, visit fgi.org.
