Clarisonic is bringing consumers everywhere closer to clear skin with the launch of the new Clarisonic Acne Clarifying Collection. The brand has paired its patented sonic cleansing technology, including an innovative new brush head, with a gentle yet powerful salicylic acid-based cleanser to remove dirt, oil and impurities more thoroughly—and begin to treat acne blemishes.

“There is no permanent cure for acne,” said Dr. Robb Akridge, co-founder and vice president of clinical affairs for Clarisonic. “We just need good cleansing regimens, and we’re bringing that to you by increasing the science in skin care.”

The Clarisonic Acne Clarifying Collection includes the new travel-friendly Mia 2—enhanced with two speeds for customized cleansing, a two-year warranty and Clarisonic’s patented pulsing T-Timer that ensures an even 60-second cleanse of the forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. It also contains the new Acne Cleansing Brush Head, which was designed with velvet-like bristle tips for ultra-gentle cleansing and extra-plush bristle gradation for concentrated pore flushing, and the new Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser, activated with 2% salicylic acid to gently dry and clear acne blemishes.

“The salicylic acid formulation was designed to enhance the qualities of sonic cleansing,” said Dr. Wm. Philip Werschler, FAAD, FAACS. “It is less irritating than benzoyl peroxide and allows skin to heal while vitamins and botanicals help reduce the appearance of redness and leave skin feeling soft and smooth.”

The new Clarisonic Acne Clarifying Collection will be priced at $169.00, and will be available exclusively at Sephora and clarisonic.com in March.
