La Prairie is expanding its White Caviar Illuminating Système collection to include three new complementary products—White Caviar Spot Treatment, White Caviar Illuminating Hand Cream SPF 15 and White Caviar Illuminating Eye Cream.

Created to target age spots, discoloration and hyperpigmentation, these new products aim to brighten the skin before, during and after pigmentation problems arise.

“Our scientists work tirelessly to create products that address our customers’ skin aging concerns,” said Lynne Florio, global brand president of La Prairie. “One such concern across the board—no matter what age, skin tone and type—is discoloration and age spots. The original trifecta of White Caviar Illuminating Système was so well-received by our La Prairie loyalists, we knew there was a real need to further address skin clarity with targeted treatments.”

In each new product, a skin lightening peptide called oligopeptide-68, blends with Swiss garden cress sprout extract to fade existing spots and prevent future pigment formation, while vitamin C and licorice root extract block tyrosinase to inhibit melanin. The new formulas are completed with golden caviar extracts to help boost the antioxidant level of defense in the skin, while also promoting firming aspects.

White Caviar Spot Treatment ($150.00), the most potent formula in the collection, is designed to isolate stubborn spots with a richer and more powerful brightening method, without affecting a larger surface area.

“La Prairie scientists added a soy isoflavone ingredient to the formula to prevent the lightening of skin around the targeted spot, and encapsulated it in an advanced vector system to allow for time-released activity,” said Dr. Daniel Stangl, head of innovation and knowledge management for La Prairie. “This will ensure that the treatment works throughout the day and night.”

Because many women tend to take care of their face and neck area, but forget to tend to their hands, La Prairie developed White Caviar Illuminating Hand Cream SPF 15 ($150.00) to treat hands that have experienced sun damage, age spots and discoloration due to the constant exposure to environmental stresses.

“Aside from prevention and protection, this hand cream is formulated with rich conditioners (peptides) that not only deeply hydrate the skin, but soften the cuticle area and strengthen nails,” said Stangl. “And lastly, it works to support newborn cells and elastin, resulting in silky, smooth and nourished skin.”

Rounding out the trio is the White Caviar Illuminating Eye Cream ($350.00), which uses selected
technologies to focus on a specific challenge: darkness in the eye area, caused by hyperpigmentation and circulation issues under the eye.

“The eye cream is the perfect partner to use in conjunction with the existing White Caviar Illuminating Eye Serum,” said Stangl. “Although we strongly encourage serums, many women prefer the consistency of a cream, and this product ensures that women with pigment and under eye darkness concerns are covered.”

The three new additions to the White Caviar collection are available beginning this month at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and
