Dolce & Gabbana’s new makeup collection for spring and summer, inspired by the fashion and fun of a Fifties Italian summer, is full of blossoming florals, and therefore perfectly named Bouquet.

“The luscious color and vibrant beauty of the fashion prints inspired us to translate the idea into a range of joyful shades for lips, eyes and nails,” said Stefano Gabbana.

The result is a flirtatious display of the kind of floral shades, such as Lilac and Rose Petal, that one would find in a bouquet of delicate blooms. To add a fresh and fruity element, the collection also incorporates shades of Lemon, Mint, Raspberry and Anise. Rounding out the Bouquet are the brand’s seasonal classics, Acqua and Shimmer, which convey an outdoor feeling of summer in the south.

“There’s something really uplifting about these colors,” said Pat McGrath, creative advisor for Dolce & Gabbana Make Up. “They make you feel as if you’re on holiday.”

To bring the season’s matte pastel trend to fingertips and toenails, the collection includes six shades of nail lacquer ($20.00), which are complemented by five shades of lipgloss ($29.00) that each add natural color and voluptuousness to lips. Eyes are also a key focal point of the season, with six new shades of eyeliner ($29.00) that include liners, highlighters and fashion shades.

For adding a little drama to the overall look, Dolce & Gabbana created an Eyeshadow Smooth Eye Color Quad ($59.00) in Bouquet 152, which features bold hues of blue, violet, light green and light pink.

The advertising visual, shot by fashion photographers Mert & Marcus, features fresh-faced actress Felicity Jones wearing Mediterranean-inspired shades with bold eye makeup and a bright nail lacquer.
