Swiss-based Victorinox—the one-hundred-and-thirty-year-old producer and worldwide distributor of knives, watches, travel gear and fashion—is amping up its fragrance arsenal with new men’s and women’s launches, both on counter now.
Its latest women’s scent, Victoria, takes its title from the brand’s familial roots: the company name Victorinox was coined in 1921 by combining ‘Victoria,’ the name of the mother of the company’s founder, with the word ‘inoxidable,’ meaning stainless.
The Victoria fragrance targets an independent and self-reliant woman—in the same way that the Victorinox brand is renowned for its multi-functional and innovative tools. The creation of Victoria, in fact, was inspired by a letter from a female Victorinox consumer:
Swiss Unlimited Energy
The eau de toilette features notes of musk, sandalwood, myrrh, lily of the valley, violet and freesia. A 3.4-oz. flacon features clean lines and a platinum crown with stylized engravings of laurel and edelweiss—inspired by the insignia of the highest grades in the Swiss army. It is priced at $69.50.
A refillable travel spray—in the original shape and style of a Swiss Army Knife and featuring the same insignia as the Victoria bottle—will be available in-store as a GWP. It is sized at 0.14 oz. and contains roughly two weeks worth of fragrance, Victorinox said.
On the men’s end, a new fragrance dubbed Swiss Unlimited Energy targets active guys who love sports.
Swiss Unlimited Energy’s unique packaging was conceived for easy use. It comprises a soft-touch flacon with a frosted appearance that is lighter than glass and highly resistant to breakage; a carabiner hook that can be easily attached to a gym bag; and an on/off cap, which is activated with a twist.
With notes of lavender, nutmeg, cedarwood, warm amber and musk, the 5-oz. fragrance is priced at $75.00. A refillable travel spray will also be available on counter as a GWP.
